The Ikwuano Graduates Forum, IGF on Saturday Feb 14, 2026 elected a new Executive Committee, with Dr Chikwendu Ugbogu as President to take over from the Engr Wilson Onwubali-led Interim Executive which has been in place for the past four years of the Forum's existence.
Other members of the new Executive include:

Mrs Nnenna Okeiyi - Treasurer
Comr Nwabuisi Chijioke - Asst. Secretary-General
Peace Ralp-Wilson - Welfare
Chioma-Lilian Onyedinachi - Provost
Comr Okaranwolu Michael - Oboro rep
Ikeajah Jerry T. - Ibere rep
Ogbuji O. Michael - Oloko
Comr Onwubiko J. Chinazor - Ariam-Usaka
At the end of voting, Dr Ugbogu won with 22 votes to emerge President while his rival, Chief James Ajuzie got 8 votes
Other members of the Executive were returned unopposed.
Prior to the start of voting, the House moved for dissolution of the Engr Wilson Onwubali-led Interim Executive. After a motion moved by Charles Onwubali and seconded by Monday Nwazue, the House unanimously declared the Interim Exco dissolved paving way for the election of new officials.

After the election, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Dr Kelvin Nnadozie announced the winners and thereafter presented Certificates of Return to winners and they were sworn into office
The election was observed by Sir Prince Kingsley Nkume representing the acting President-General of the Ikwuano Development Union-Federated, IDU-F and Hon Obinna Okey who represented distinguished Senator Austin Akobundu representing Abia Central Senatorial district in the 10th. Senate.
Others who witnessed the election include Dr Bobby Ariwodo, President of Abia Staff in MOUAU; Hon Cookey Nwachukwu, former Deputy Chairman, Ikwuano LGA, Hon Paul Nwachukwu; Hon Okechukwu Erico Orji; Martin Omeruo, former NULGE, Ikwuano LG chairman, and several others.
In his remarks, the new President, Dr Ugbogu said his arms are open to reconcile all parties for the greater good of IGF and declared that his coming to office is the dawn of a new day for IGF and Ikwuano LG as a whole.
Also speaking, Sir Nkume urged the new Exco to be conscious democratic tenets and frown at sit-tight leaders, while Hon Okey speaking on behalf of Sen. Akobundu applauded the Electoral Committee for a free and fair election.
