An enthusiastic football lover, Football Club President and passionate driver for youths development, Engr. Obinna Paul Peter on Sunday declared his aspirations to represent Ikwuano State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly under Labour Party, LP
Speaking to our reporters on the sidelines of a meeting of Ikwuano LP stakeholders and leaders, Engr Peter proffered that he is motivated to step up for an elective office in order to create a larger platform to actual use his commitment towards creating opportunities for youths to thrive and excel

"I have made enormous investments in talent nurturing, discipline, and competitive exposure for our youths to exploit their potentials and achieve appreciable standards of life for themselves and communities", he explained.
Engr Peter, an entrepreneur and President of FC Ona Pal currently registered for the prestigious Nigeria Federation Cup, targeting to represent Abia State at the national stage, added that he has contributed his little quota to football and youths development development at the grassroots and wishes to explores a wider platform to do more.
The football enthusiast dismissed insinuations that the LP is in crisis. "The Labour Party LP in Abia State and nationally remains one big family and just like in every large families there are bound to be differences every now and then, but it does not mean the family is not one. Our hardworking governor, Dr Alex Otti has for the first time since the creation of Abia State shown what good governance is all about and he is doing everything to ensure LP remain one and go into the 2027 General Election united and strong.
"Governor Alex Otti is the inspiration that has inspired me to step forward and offer to serve my people...if he can do so much within such a short time, I have inspired to see opportunities where the socio-economic development of Ikwuano State Constituency could be improved upon.
"I have consulted widely with our people and with our party stakeholders and leaders, and this is the right time to declare my aspirations", he said
