| Hon Chukwuemeka Osoagbaka |
Former member of the Abia State House of Assembly representing Ikwuano State Constituency, Hon. Prince Chukwuemeka Osoagbaka, Snr has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
In his resignation letter dated March 25, 2026 and addressed to the Chairman, PDP Ariam Ward 1, Ikwuano LGA, Prince Osoagbaka states that he is forced to resign from the once ideologically defined progressive party owing to absence of internal discipline, static vision of its leadership and failure of the party to meet his personal expectations of a progressive organisation amongst other factors
According to him: "The remarkable commitment to the absence of internal discipline, the creative interpretation of democratic ethics, and the consistently static vision demonstrated by the leadership have provided me with an unexpected and admittedly enlightening contrast to the progressive ideals that originally drew me to the party.
"It is with a newfound clarity that I have come to understand that my personal expectations of a progressive organisation differ so fundamentally from the party's current operational model that continued membership would be, for me, an exercise in self-contradiction"
The former lawmaker expressed his sincere gratitude to the party for the unparalleled education he had received during his time with the party and wished the party success in its current trajectory"
