Rt Hon Emeka Atuma has led a delegation of party stakeholders, candidates, grassroots mobilizers, and loyal supporters to Bende, the country home of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu, on a strategic courtesy visit aimed at consolidating APC's structure in Abia State ahead 2027 General Elections.

The visit coming shortly after APC's successful National Assembly and State House of Assembly primary,  signifies  an indication of the party leaders closing ranks, uniting   structures, and  preparing to confront the 2027 General Elections with strength, coordination, and ruthless grassroots mobilization


Notable figures in the Atuma-led delegation include the APC candidate for the Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Chinedu Orji (popularly known as Ikuku Oma Abia), and the candidate for the Ikwuano State Constituency, Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu

Others include Hon. Uzo Ihuka, APC candidate for Isiala-Ngwa North/South Federal Constituency; Hon. Udo Alozie, candidate for Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency and Hon Uzo Azubuike, candidate for Aba North/South Federal Constituency

Also in the delegation include Rt. Hon. Stanley Ohajuruka, former member House of Representatives and Executive Director, Finance, South-East Development Commission, SEDC and Rt. Hon. Christopher Enweremadu, former Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly and a host of other party stalwarts

During the discussions, Hon. Atuma emphasized that the party’s primary objective is to secure decisive victories through a combination of aggressive grassroots mobilization and a commitment to people-oriented policies.

"Our structure in Abia Central is primed and ready," Atuma said. "Through unity and meaningful engagement with the electorate, we are committed to delivering results that reflect the true aspirations of our people."

Those in attendance noted that Atuma’s leadership has been instrumental in fostering a sense of purpose and calm, effectively galvanizing party faithful across Abia Central Senatorial district.

Stakeholders at the meeting emphasized that the era of internal division is over, declaring that all party forces must now unite under one common objective, securing total victory for the APC across Abia Central and beyond. The gathering also served as a strategic reconciliation platform where leaders reaffirmed their readiness to work together, strengthen party structures at the grassroots, and mobilize aggressively across all wards and local governments.

The visit to the Deputy Speaker, recognized as the leader of the APC in Abia State indicates that the Abia APC has regrouped, re-energized, and fully activated its winning structure ahead 2027 in  alignment of the zone’s goals with the broader national-level vision. 

As the political landscape in Abia State continues to evolve, the Atuma  expressed optimism for the future, maintaining that the current spirit of collaboration among candidates and stakeholders will be the catalyst for progress in both Abia Central and the State at large.
