Prominent political leader and frontline statesman, Chief Victor Nnochiri after his resignation from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has formally registered with the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC
The move marks a significant shift in the political landscape of Abia State politics ahead 2027. Chief Nnochiri, who is the facilitator of the widely recognized VCN Ochake Movement, confirmed that while he is moving on from the ADC platform, his commitment to public service and his aspiration to represent the people remains unwavering.
Chief Nnochiri revealed that his decision comes at a time of deep reflection and is currently being followed by extensive consultations with key stakeholders, political allies, and his primary constituents
"My political journey has always been defined by the needs of my people," Nnochiri stated. "I am currently engaging in heart-to-heart dialogues with the fathers, mothers, and youths of our district to determine the most effective platform through which we can achieve our shared vision of 'Empowering The People, Harvesting Prosperity.'"
Despite the change in party affiliation, Chief Nnochiri emphasized that his legislative blueprints for the district remain a priority. He reaffirmed his dedication to ensuring that the voices of the people are heard consistently in the halls of power, rather than just during election cycles.
Chief Nnochiri assured his supporters that his next move will be dictated by the collective interest of the district. He noted that the "Ochake" philosophy—centered on brightness and progress—is more alive than ever.
"This transition is about finding the most fertile ground to sow the seeds of development for our people," he added. "The wait for true representation is not over; it is simply entering a more focused and strategic phase. I remain your servant, your shield, and your voice."
Further announcements regarding his final political destination are expected following the conclusion of his ongoing consultations.
